You Are the Heart of Our Business

It's mental health providers like you that make our employee assistance program so impactful. Every year, our network of providers leaves a positive impact on the lives of thousands of employees.

These are people who need support during difficult times: someone to listen as they talk through their challenges, help them grow professionally and personally, and a system to support them through tough transitions at work.

Our Providers Play a Vital Role in Serving the Mental Health Needs of Millions

Licensed clinicians find our provider network rewarding as they help individuals navigate personal and work-related challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.

By partnering with First Sun EAP, clinicians do meaningful, purpose‑driven work that helps members thrive at home and show up more confidently at work, without ever being asked to interact directly with employers.

If this approach aligns with your practice, we invite you to learn more about joining our provider network.

Common Provider Questions

How do I get into the Provider Portal?

Get familiar with the online portal by reviewing the guide. Then start the registration process by following these directions; you can also find instructions on resetting your password. Finally, add your licensure and liability.

How do I receive referrals and receive payment?

We review a provider’s profile to match each EAP member with the provider who can best support them. Upon referral, we will send you an authorization. After you meet with an EAP member, please enter all authorized sessions via PROVIDERfiles. We must receive all session activity by the sixth of each month. Find additional information on billing and payment by reviewing the guide. If you still have questions, please call 803-978-9900 or message Provider Relations.

My authorization has expired, but my client still needs services. What do I do?

We include authorizations with every EAP member we send to you, and they expire at the end of an employer’s contract year. If the authorization has expired, ask your client to call and verify their EAP member eligibility. If they’re eligible, we’ll open a new case, issue a new authorization, and send it to you.

I am working with a complicated client. Can you help?

Yes, we are happy to help and offer free peer support for challenging cases. While we don’t offer clinical supervision, we do have Certified Employee Assistance Professionals and independently licensed master’s-level clinicians who are glad to consult with you on difficult matters.

Do you have clients in my area?

Many of our EAP members live in the Southeast United States. However, we are a national company and contract with several companies that have locations in other states. To find out whether we need a provider in your location, please call 803-978-9900 or message Provider Relations.

Provider Billing

If you are registered with PROVIDERfiles, please log in to the provider portal. Providers registered with PROVIDERfiles experience a smoother billing process and receive quicker payments. Please call 803-978-9900 to inquire about accessing the provider portal.
